Lunchtime Footie at The Rock

After our morning visit to Soweto, we stopped for lunch ..

..and sure enough a lunchtime game of Footie broke out.

We played the small-sided version game in South Africa -- One Pal. There were really no rules, other than to hit the ball against two stones set up ~20 yards apart on the street. You can't get more simple than that!

Some of the students we had just met with joined us for the action.

Cyril is never one to shy away from the the action.

The kids were definitely a little more fit than the rest of us, and their skills were certainly more in season.

"When you hit the cars, you've gone too far" Well, that was not exactly the case in this game -- play on!

My team often gives me crap for wearing performance shirt attire to work. Well, here is a perfect reason why -- I'm always ready for a quality game of One Pal

Sue, here is a ball to your stomach -- BRING IT DOWN! :)

She did.

I think I had them scared on this one...

..and afterwards, we gathered for a relaxing meal.
